Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chagaus slips a straight right by Scott.
Scott shoots in but Chagaus avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Scott has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Chagaus has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Scott has passed into side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Scott can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Scott takes a little break here. Chagaus wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Scott advances to mount.

Scott is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Chagaus tries to clinch but Scott moves out of range.

Chagaus's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Scott tries to pull guard but Chagaus holds him up against the cage and eventually Scott drops back down to his feet.

Scott stands up from Chagaus's guard - Scott perhaps looking for a knockout.

and Chagaus finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Scott shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Scott showed some decent athleticism there.
Scott seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Chagaus wants to get back to full guard.
Scott is taking a breather. Chagaus says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
