Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and mikki Hiiri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hiiri is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: LIAR. mikki Hiiri is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hiiri scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Davis won't allow Hiiri to pass to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hiiri prevents Davis from standing back up.
Hiiri throws a strike but Davis avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Davis pushes Hiiri off and gets back to his feet.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hiiri lands a nice short elbow.

Davis wants to control but Hiiri is having none of it.

Hiiri goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Davis turns into him and now he's in Hiiri's guard.

Davis has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hiiri is proving hard to escape from.

Davis won't allow Hiiri to sweep him here.
Hiiri is looking for a triangle but Davis pushes his legs off easily.

Davis gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Hiiri looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Hiiri thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Hiiri thows a huge punch but Davis dodges it nicely.

Davis is trying to stand up here but Hiiri is controlling him well.
Hiiri thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Davis's head.
Davis on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Hiiri with the ground and pound but Davis uses the opportunity to regain guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Hiiri moves into the clinch.
Hiiri tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Davis just stands there and leans against the cage.
Hiiri tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Davis smiles and moves away.
Davis takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Hiiri looks for a takedown but Davis sprawls well.
Joe Davis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of mikki Hiiri.
Davis swings for the body but Hiiri moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hiiri gets the takedown into side control.
Hiiri lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Davis down.
Hiiri has hold of Davis's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Davis tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Hiiri cranks the arm and Davis screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Davis, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
