The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conway looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Conway throws a head kick that misses.
Buttle throws a one two combo.

It looks like Shaun Conway has been cut.
Buttle throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Conway counters with a three punch combo that has Buttle backing up. Buttle nods at Conway to acknowledge the strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Conway counters with a shoot takedown. Buttle fights it but they end up in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Conway stands and steps away. Buttle gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Conway counters with a crisp one two that drops Buttle! Conway thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Buttle to his feet! Buttle is in big trouble!

and Conway counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Buttle! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Conway!
