Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Diego Gonzales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

Jones avoids the head kick by Gonzales.

Gonzales gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jones to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Gonzales misses with a body kick.

Gonzales moves into the clinch successfully.
Gonzales jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jones walks away with a smile on his face. Gonzales gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Jones closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
You can see the frustration on Gonzales's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Jones tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Gonzales bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Jones throws a series of punches but Gonzales moves out of range.
Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Jones counters with a left to the body.

Jones is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Gonzales has managed to escape the submission attempt.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jones cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gonzales. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Roy Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Gonzales's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Jones shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gonzales napping and manages to drive through into side control!

and Jones counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gonzales won't be happy with that.
Jones is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gonzales is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
