The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pieru throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jung was covering up waiting for the punch and Pieru finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Pieru working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Jung wants to stand but Pieru is controlling the position.
Jung utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Pieru wants to pass the guard but Jung is keeping the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pieru accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Jung is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pieru throwing strikes from guard but Jung blocks nicely.
Jung wants to stand up but Pieru is controlling him.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Jung gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pieru to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Pieru throws a big right hand that misses.
Pieru stops Jung from standing up.

Jung can't keep his opponent in guard - Pieru advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Pieru has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jung is bucking up trying to escape but Pieru cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Jung is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

It looks like Chan Sung Jung has been cut.
Pieru scoring with strikes but Jung is staying in there.
