Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Colt Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jukka Hilden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Colt Evans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jukka Hilden!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hilden tries to close the distance and clinch up but Evans swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hilden is looking to clinch.

Hilden throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Evans was covering up waiting for the punch and Hilden finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Evans keeping moving, preventing Hilden from controlling successfully.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Evans holds on and takes a little breather.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Hilden shoots for a double leg takedown but Evans sprawls well. He's pushed Hilden's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Colt Evans has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jukka Hilden.

Evans fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hilden sprawls well initially but Evans persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Well, if Evans is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Evans shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hilden napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Evans creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Evans is looking to take a break and control but Hilden is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hilden is looking to reverse the position.
Evans wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hilden keeps working.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Evans works to advance to full mount. Hilden defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Hilden is bucking up trying to escape but Evans cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Evans lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Evans moves to take his opponent's back.
Evans is looking to finish with some ground and pound!

Evans patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Evans wants to control but Hilden manages to buck him off and is now in Evans's guard! Nice work there by Hilden!
Hilden seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Colt Evans just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Evans moves into range and clinches up with Hilden.

Hilden goes for a takedown attempt but Evans pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Evans has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Hilden works to full guard.
Hilden is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Evans gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Hilden is looking to clinch.
Hilden shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Evans counters with a shoot takedown. Hilden fights it but they end up in guard.
Colt Evans overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Evans is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Hilden pulls Evans in close to his closed guard and prevents Evans from doing any damage or advancing position.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Hilden manages to work his way to half guard, despite Evans's best efforts.
Hilden has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Evans is working away from the top position though.

Evans is trying to control. Hilden wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Evans wants to free his trapped foot but Hilden is holding on for dear life with his legs.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Hilden has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Evans is working away from the top position though.

Evans looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hilden with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Hilden is looking to improve his position.
Hilden is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Evans jumps into side control!

Hilden wants to sweep but no luck.
