Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Castillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rickson Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Castillo comes to the cage accompanied by No Suprise . We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castillo fails with a takedown attempt.
Rodriguez keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Castillo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rodriguez swivels and escapes.

Castillo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rodriguez's waist but Rodriguez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Castillo off to one side.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rodriguez can do anything to dispel that myth.
Castillo uses his free foot to push down on Rodriguez's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Rodriguez.
Rodriguez tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Castillo swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Rodriguez is now in Castillo's guard. A big mistake from Castillo there, giving up the dominant position!

Castillo wants to sweep here but Rodriguez controlling him for the moment.

Castillo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rodriguez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rodriguez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Rodriguez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Castillo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rodriguez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Castillo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rodriguez keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Castillo's head.

Castillo had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Rodriguez is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Castillo Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Rodriguez's back instead.

Castillo connects with a couple of big shots that have Rodriguez covering up! Oh, this looks bad for Rodriguez! Castillo fires away with several more unanswered shots and the referee has no choice but to step in! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
