The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pollard shoots in and bounces Robs off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pollard controls from within his opponent's guard.
Pollard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Robs swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pollard slips nicely into half guard.
Pollard prevents Robs from standing back up.

Pollard is working for a submission of some sort.

Pollard is tying to control. Robs wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

so Pollard counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Pollard connects with a couple of short punches.
Robs is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Pollard wants to pass the guard but Robs is keeping the position.
Robs wants to get back to his feet but Pollard is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Robs is breathing heavily.

Pollard drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pollard jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Pollard tries for a kimura but Robs is defending well.
Robs gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Pollard is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Robs has one foot on Pollard's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Pollard shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Pollard drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Robs dives on top into guard.
Robs could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Pollard lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Robs!

Pollard swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Robs is now in Pollard's guard. A big mistake from Pollard there, giving up the dominant position!
Robs pushes down on Pollard's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Robs goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Robs looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Pollard takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
The fight stays on the outside here - Robs looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Pollard misses with a takedown attempt - Robs sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Robs throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pollard.

Pollard tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Robs swivels and escapes.
Pollard takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Robs scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Pollard is working for a guillotine from mount but Robs frees his head quite easily.
Pollard breaks from Robs's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Robs tries to buck Pollard off but he can't manage it.

Robs bucks Pollard off and manages to get back to his feet!
Robs is looking to clinch but Pollard is avoiding it.
Pollard shoots in and drives through. Robs sprawls well.
Keith Robs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Craig Pollard.

Pollard is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Robs's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Robs's back!

Pollard has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Robs! Can he survive? No! He's out! Pollard gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
