Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Don Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and cheyenne ruffy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez is looking to clinch but ruffy is avoiding it.
Alvarez scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. ruffy doesn't seem bothered though.
Alvarez misses with a series of wild punches.
Alvarez wants to clinch.

ruffy shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. ruffy showed some decent athleticism there.
ruffy wants to advance to full mount but Alvarez doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
ruffy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alvarez swivels though and keeps the full guard.

ruffy drops back, looking for a kneebar! Alvarez looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Alvarez looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Alvarez!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Alvarez decides to stand up, so the ref orders ruffy to his feet.

and ruffy counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
ruffy stops Alvarez from getting back to his feet.
Alvarez won't allow ruffy to pass to mount.

Alvarez is trying to stand up here but ruffy is controlling him well.
ruffy tries to pass to full mount but Alvarez defends it.
Alvarez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for ruffy on the ground.
ruffy frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
ruffy thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Alvarez wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Alvarez defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from ruffy.

ruffy swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Alvarez is now in ruffy's guard. A big mistake from ruffy there, giving up the dominant position!
Alvarez wants to get up but he can't break ruffy's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
ruffy wants to sweep but no luck.
Alvarez would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
ruffy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
