Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mickael Gozo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wando Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Silva's choice of entrance music: Kasta - Normal'no vsyo. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gozo throws an overhand right that lands on Silva's shoulder, as Silva tries to avoid the shot.
Gozo throws out a loose jab but Silva uses good head movement to avoid it.
Silva avoids the body shot from Gozo.
Gozo throws a hook but Silva blocks it.
Gozo jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
A slow jab from Gozo misses its intended target.
Gozo blocks the body kick.
Gozo misses with an uppercut.
Silva slips a straight right by Gozo.
A telegraphed right hand from Gozo misses the target.

Silva closes the distance and pushes Gozo back into the ropes.
Gozo tries to pull guard but Silva holds him up against the ropes and eventually Gozo drops back down to his feet.
Silva is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Gozo pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Gozo has hold of Silva's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Silva manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Silva thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Silva drops back looking for a leg! Gozo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gozo manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Gozo's guard.

Gozo is looking for a triangle here but Silva uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Silva is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Gozo gets his way!

Gozo throws a hook but Silva avoids it easily.
Gozo throws a nice looking combination but Silva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Gozo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Silva gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Gozo tries to pull guard but Silva won't allow it.
Gozo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Silva walks away with a smile on his face. Gozo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Silva fails with an attempt to clinch.

Gozo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Silva drops his hands momentarily and Gozo takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Gozo just misses with a punch to the body.
Mickael Gozo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gozo lands the left hand.

Silva clinches up with Gozo and pushes him back against the ropes.
Silva is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Gozo goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Silva has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Gozo but great work by Silva.

Silva is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gozo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Gozo is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Silva off and has taken his back!
Silva breaks Gozo's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Gozo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Gozo is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Silva pulls his head out easily.
Gozo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Silva is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gozo defends it well.
Gozo makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Gozo.

Silva got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gozo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silva has managed to get both his arms back between Gozo's legs - danger averted.

Silva is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Silva is sitting in close to Gozo's body. Gozo has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Silva is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Silva is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Gozo.
