PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pena Hirmu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jestan Tsemppu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hirmu kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is AC/DC - War Machine. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hirmu lands with a cross.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Tsemppu tries to pull guard but Hirmu holds him up against the cage and eventually Tsemppu drops back down to his feet.

Hirmu breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hirmu throws a right and a left that Tsemppu avoids nicely.

Hirmu waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Tsemppu. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Tsemppu to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Hirmu drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Tsemppu manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hirmu has Tsemppu in his guard.

Tsemppu got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hirmu has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tsemppu has managed to get both his arms back between Hirmu's legs - danger averted.

Tsemppu works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Tsemppu is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hirmu doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tsemppu.
Still in half guard, Tsemppu seems content to control.
Tsemppu seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hirmu does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Tsemppu stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Hirmu fails with an attempt to clinch.

Tsemppu gets caught flat footed, as Hirmu shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Tsemppu manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hirmu manages to get himself to full guard.

Hirmu pushes a forearm under Tsemppu's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Tsemppu is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
