PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Avon Barksdale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Preuss da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Preuss da Silva told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barksdale defends well against a solid takedown attempt from da Silva.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A punch combination from Barksdale misses.

Barksdale clinches up with da Silva and pushes him back against the cage.

Avon Barksdale has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Preuss da Silva.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Barksdale decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in da Silva's guard.

da Silva is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Barksdale defends well.

Barksdale cracks da Silva with a solid left hand.

da Silva has his foot on Barksdale's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Barksdale works his way back into a safe position though.
Barksdale is working da Silva over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

da Silva has his feet on Barksdale's thighs here. He's pushed Barksdale off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Barksdale screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
