The crowd seem to be enjoying Boyka's choice of entrance music: All That Remains - Focus Shall Not Fail . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Fred White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Uri Boyka!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyka works over White's head and body with a nice combination.


It looks like Fred White has been cut.
White misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Boyka tries to close the distance and clinch but White swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
White fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

so White counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Boyka looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

White drops back looking for a leg! Boyka is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Boyka manages to kick White off! White jumps back into Boyka's guard.
Boyka wants to sweep but no luck.
Boyka wants to stand but White is controlling the position.

White is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Boyka looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
White thows a big elbow that misses.
White throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Boyka works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

White drops back looking for a leg! Boyka is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Boyka manages to kick White off! White jumps back into Boyka's guard.
White is looking to work some ground and pound but Boyka has wrist control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

White stands and steps away. Boyka gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Boyka throws a series of punches but White avoids them all with ease.

White drives through with a takedown into guard.
White trying to control the position from guard on top but Boyka is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Boyka wriggles free and stands up.
White has his takedown stuffed

and Boyka counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for White!
White has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Boyka trying to control but he's not successful this time.
White manages to regain half guard. Good work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
White wants to control but Boyka is keeping busy and won't allow it.

White looking for submissions off his back.
White wants to improve his position but Boyka is controlling well.
White misses with some strikes from the bottom.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Boyka looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Boyka decides to stand and escape the position.
White shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Boyka counters with a shoot takedown. White fights it but they end up in guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fred White. That's going to take a lot out of him.
White wants to sweep here but Boyka controlling him for the moment.

White wriggles free and stands up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Boyka fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but White is out of range.
Boyka scores with a hook to the body. White takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Uri Boyka dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Fred White's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Nice sprawl there from Boyka as White shoots in.
White stalks Boyka and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Boyka's face. Boyka staggers backwards, shaken.


It looks like Uri Boyka has been cut.
Boyka keeps the fight on the outside.
White tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Boyka counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Boyka.

White looking for a guillotine here but Boyka defends easily.
Boyka wants to control from the top but White keeps moving.
White tries to strike from the bottom.
Boyka wants to control from the top but White keeps moving.

Boyka slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Boyka is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Boyka trying to control the position from guard on top but White is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

White working for a triangle but Boyka defends it easily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
White manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Boyka manages to get himself to full guard.
Uri Boyka has got the better of the ground game so far.
White postures up.
Boyka lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for White!
White regains half guard.
Boyka is looking to stall here but White recovers full guard.

Boyka trying to control but White is working from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Uri Boyka.
White with a poor takedown

and Boyka decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in White's guard.
White looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

White has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Boyka off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

and White counters with a single leg into guard. Boyka didn't expect that.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
White is working Boyka over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Boyka looking for a sweep. Not yet Boyka, not yet.
Boyka is breathing heavily.
Boyka keeping moving, preventing White from controlling successfully.

White stands up from guard. Let's bang!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

White is stalling here.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!



White shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Boyka is trying to defend but White finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

White postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Boyka to stand up.
Fred White is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
White circles away from the clinch attempt.
White misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

White closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Boyka looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
White lands with a light punch inside.
Boyka tries to pull guard but White holds him up against the cage and eventually Boyka drops back down to his feet.

White jumps guard.

White tries to land a sweep but no joy.
White is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Boyka is trying to stand.

White is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
White seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

White is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Boyka sees it coming and defends easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Boyka wants to control but White is keeping busy and won't allow it.
White looks to land a strike but Boyka avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
White looking to sit in guard and control but Boyka gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
White tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Boyka got a little sloppy there for a moment and White has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Boyka has managed to get both his arms back between White's legs - danger averted.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boyka is in close to White's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Boyka wants to stand and escape but instead White has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
White postures up in Boyka's guard and throws a big left but Boyka blocks it.
Boyka has momentary wrist control but White slips an elbow through the middle.
Boyka manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
White tries to lock up and control but Boyka gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
White tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Boyka content just to control the position here.
White regains half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Fred White showed his dominance in that final round.
I think White has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
