The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mack.
Payne really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Some wild striking there from Mack.
Payne tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mack paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Mack throws a body punch but Payne moves out of range.

Mack tries to bum rush Payne with a series of wild strikes but Payne uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Payne stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Morris Payne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mack keeps the fight on the outside.
Mack tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Payne lands with a shot to the body.
