The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Gracie seems to be working for a kimura but Ciechan defends the submission attempt.

Gracie drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ciechan looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ciechan looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ciechan!

Ciechan closes the distance and clinches up with Gracie, looking for a takedown. Ciechan pushes Gracie against the cage but Gracie circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gracie feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gracie is looking to work some ground and pound but Ciechan has wrist control.

Gracie postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ciechan is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gracie, into his guard.
