Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Don Wop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and jon cockren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wop throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Wop throws a quick inside leg kick.
cockren shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wop pinned against the cage. Wop gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Wop doesn't manage to clinch there - cockren circles away.
A swing and a miss from cockren.
jon cockren seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wop displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from cockren.

and cockren counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. cockren connects with a nice short shot to Wop's temple.
cockren is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wop is doing well to control the position and prevent cockren from advancing to side control.

cockren thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

cockren has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Wop defend it? cockren steps over the head and cranks it - Wop is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for cockren!
