PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Pimpin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Super Muffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pimpin comes to the cage accompanied by 5 minutes alone. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Super Muffin!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muffin misses with a few strikes there.
Pimpin misses with a jab, cross combination.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Muffin avoids a punch combination nicely.
Oooh a lovely combination from Muffin sends Pimpin down but not out. Muffin dives into side control looking to finish.

It looks like Ben Pimpin has been cut.

Muffin tries for a kimura but Pimpin is defending well.
Pimpin is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Muffin has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Pimpin tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Muffin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Pimpin pushes Muffin away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Muffin gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Muffin tries to score with some ground and pound. Pimpin controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Muffin passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Pimpin!
Pimpin throwing hammer fists to the chest of Muffin. What's that going to do exactly?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Muffin pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Pimpin tries to reverse the position but Muffin maintains control.
Muffin is landing with some decent strikes but Pimpin is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Muffin lands a nice shot to the head.

Pimpin is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Muffin is stalling here but it's allowed Pimpin to get half guard.

Pimpin kicks off Muffin and gets to his feet.
Pimpin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Muffin.
Pimpin is breathing heavily.
Pimpin swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Muffin counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Pimpin!
Muffin landing strikes from the mount and Pimpin is in trouble!
Pimpin throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Muffin has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Pimpin's face.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pimpin is squirming around, avoiding Muffin's attempts to control the action.
Muffin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Muffin won't let Pimpin get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Muffin fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Pimpin tries to get back to half guard but can't.
BOOM! Muffin connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Pimpin regains half guard.
Muffin is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Muffin stops Pimpin from getting back to his feet.
Pimpin has hold of Muffin's hands but Muffin slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Muffin tries to pass the half guard into mount. Pimpin knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Muffin thows a huge punch but Pimpin dodges it nicely.
Muffin works his way into side control.

Pimpin manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Pimpin gets back to full guard.
Muffin connects with a couple of short punches.
Muffin is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Pimpin wants to stand but Muffin is controlling the position.
Muffin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Muffin stops Pimpin from standing up.

Pimpin wants to stand and escape but Muffin is having none of it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A combination from Pimpin does no damage.
Muffin lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Super Muffin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Muffin slips a jab and a cross from Pimpin.
Pimpin throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Muffin crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
