Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lee De Jesus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Walcott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Jesus comes to the cage accompanied by agi agi song. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lee De Jesus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joe Walcott!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Jesus closes this distance looking for a takedown but Walcott circles away.
Walcott tries to clinch there but De Jesus circles away.
Walcott fails in his attempt to clinch.

Walcott is looking to clinch but De Jesus is avoiding it.

De Jesus shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Walcott manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
De Jesus thows a big elbow that misses.
Walcott wants to stand up but De Jesus is controlling him.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Walcott holds on and takes a little breather.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

De Jesus has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Walcott wants to clinch up but De Jesus keeps it at a distance.
De Jesus shoots in looking for a takedown. Walcott tries to sprawl out of it but De Jesus keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Walcott manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Walcott tries to close the distance and clinch up but De Jesus swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The fight stays on the outside here - Walcott looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Walcott is looking to clinch but De Jesus is avoiding it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Walcott is looking to stand up but De Jesus isn't so interested in that idea.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Walcott preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Walcott working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from De Jesus.
Walcott wants to stand and escape but De Jesus is having none of it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

De Jesus feints and as Walcott raises his hands in defense, De Jesus changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
De Jesus postures up in Walcott's guard and throws a big left but Walcott blocks it.
De Jesus postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
De Jesus throwing strikes but missing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lee De Jesus will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



De Jesus drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
De Jesus misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Walcott can do anything to dispel that myth.
De Jesus wants to control from the top but Walcott keeps moving.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

De Jesus wants to stand up but Walcott is controlling him.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
De Jesus shoots in for a takedown but Walcott shows good takedown defense.

and De Jesus decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Walcott's guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for De Jesus, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
