Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hercule Poirot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Poirot's choice of entrance music: Poirot Theme. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Paul!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hercule Poirot!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poirot avoids a punch combination nicely.
Poirot throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Poirot shoots in for a double leg but Paul sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Poirot throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Poirot moves away from the strike by Paul.
Paul misses the shot to the body.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Paul crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Poirot - the referee stops the clock and Paul gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Poirot. Paul manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Poirot takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Poirot tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Paul takes a swing at Poirot's ribcage but misses.
Paul lands with a big left! Poirot is wobbled badly! Paul comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Poirot to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). John Paul!
John Paul retains his lightweight title!
