Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Claude Moraes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gustavo Schumacher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schumacher throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Moraes gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Moraes will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Moraes is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Schumacher wants to control from the top but Moraes keeps moving.

Moraes working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Schumacher doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Schumacher manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Moraes has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Schumacher can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Schumacher got a little sloppy there for a moment and Moraes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Schumacher has managed to get both his arms back between Moraes's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
