These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carver scores with a jab.
Betlach throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Carver.
A swing and a miss from Carver.
Carver throws the left hand but Betlach avoids the punch easily.
A telegraphed right hand from Carver misses the target.
Carver throws a jab but it's blocked by Betlach.

Betlach's corner calls for a 1-2. Betlach obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

It looks like Brian Carver has been cut.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Betlach takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Carver fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Betlach manages to avoid it.
Carver ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Carver seems to have got his legs back now.

Betlach drops Carver with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Carver looks back up at him and smiles so Betlach waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Betlach connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Betlach throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Carver stumbling backwards into the cage! Carver bounces back off the cage towards Betlach, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Betlach lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Betlach celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
