Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Policarpio Mendoza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and taff jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). taff jones will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendoza is looking to clinch.
A solid body kick from jones.
Mendoza swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mendoza fails to land with a series of punches.
jones steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mendoza.
jones tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mendoza sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten jones somewhat.
Mendoza tries to clinch up.
jones lands a head kick. Mendoza smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
jones throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mendoza.

jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Mendoza wants to sweep here but jones controlling him for the moment.

Mendoza thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Mendoza throws a series of punches but jones avoids them all with ease.

jones moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

That was a close second round but I would say that Policarpio Mendoza will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Mendoza jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as jones walks away with a smile on his face. Mendoza gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and jones wants it to stay on the feet.

and jones counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Mendoza is lucky that one didn't land flush.
jones bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mendoza's head backwards.
