Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Catcher Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bud Kevin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kevin has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kevin goes for a takedown in the clinch but Freeman prevents it.
Kevin tries to circle away but Freeman has him pinned against the cage.
Kevin prevents a takedown attempt there.
Kevin has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Freeman is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Freeman prevents Kevin from breaking the clinch.
Freeman drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Kevin pulls Freeman into guard.
Freeman trying to control but Kevin is working from the bottom.
Freeman postures up and lands a big shot to Kevin's brow.

Kevin manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Freeman manages to get himself to full guard.
Kevin would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Freeman wants to stand and escape but Kevin is having none of it.
Kevin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Kevin's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Freeman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Horrible takedown by Freeman or perhaps it was just good defense by Kevin which made him look bad.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Kevin tries to clinch there but Freeman circles away.

Kevin has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Kevin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Freeman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kevin's waist but Kevin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Freeman off to one side.

Catcher Freeman dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Freeman rushes Kevin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Kevin is fighting off a takedown attempt but Freeman is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Kevin to the mat. Kevin regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Freeman is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kevin is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kevin has escaped and now he's on top!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Freeman is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Kevin is trying to control. Freeman wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Kevin throws a strike but Freeman avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kevin smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Kevin shoots in and drives through. Freeman sprawls well.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Freeman!
Freeman shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kevin defends it nicely.

Kevin gets full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Freeman throws and elbow that misses. Kevin uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Freeman's guard. Nice move by Kevin!

Kevin gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Catcher Freeman will probably get the nod.
That's time! Freeman's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Kevin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Freeman counters with a single leg into guard. Kevin didn't expect that.
Freeman keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kevin's head.
Kevin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kevin connects with a nice short shot to Freeman's temple.
Kevin seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Freeman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Kevin decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Freeman shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kevin is trying to defend but Freeman finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Kevin moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
