Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leroy Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Declan Newell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Green has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Green has hold of Newell's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Newell manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Newell throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Green looks to land a left hand but Newell moved out of range nicely.

Green has taken the fight to the clinch.

Newell breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Green bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Green feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Newell had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Green defends it easily.
