The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sorensen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Boy pinned against the cage. Boy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Boy lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Boy swats away the attempt to clinch by Sorensen.

Sorensen scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Boy tries to bench press Sorensen off him but Sorensen keeps the position.

Sorensen decides to stand back up.
Boy circles away from the clinch attempt.
Johnny Boy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Boy gets a clinch.

Boy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Sorensen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sorensen shoots for a takedown but Boy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Sorensen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sorensen dodges the punch combination from Boy.
Boy lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Boy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Boy scores with a one two! Sorensen had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

It looks like Daniel Sorensen has been cut.
Johnny Boy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Boy drops Sorensen with a beautiful combination! Sorensen stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Boy is looking for the KO!

Sorensen is rocked!
Boy finds Sorensen's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Sorensen flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Boy lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Sorensen will be OK.
