Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dewey Pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Graham Walsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dewey Pain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Graham Walsh!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pain changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Walsh tries to avoid it but Pain manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Walsh to the ground. Walsh escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Pain scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Walsh is trying to control Pain's posture but Pain avoids it.
Pain controls the position from side control.

Pain decides to stand back up. Pain steps back and let's Walsh get back to his feet.
Pain really is a fat lump.
A nice leg kick lands there from Pain.
Pain shoots for a double leg takedown but Walsh sprawls well. He's pushed Pain's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
No joy there for Walsh, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pain ducks right into an uppercut from Walsh.
Walsh misses with a wild combination.

Pain clinches up against the cage.
Pain is stalling here.

Pain pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Walsh lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.


It looks like Dewey Pain has been cut.
Walsh throws a right and a left that both miss.

Walsh gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Pain controlling from the top position.
Walsh wants to stand and escape but Pain is having none of it.
Pain with a flurry of punches that miss.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pain accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Pain advances to half guard.
Pain is breathing heavily.
Walsh is in trouble now - Pain has advanced to mount!
Pain controlling his opponent.

Pain is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Walsh is surviving well by controlling Pain's body position as best he can.
Walsh working to try and regain half guard.
Walsh wants to hold on but Pain pushes him away.
Pain takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Walsh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pain. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pain scoring with strikes but Walsh is staying in there.

Pain with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
You get the feeling that Walsh really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Pain content just to control the position here.
Pain tries to control but Walsh wriggling away.
Walsh's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Walsh tries to lock up and control but Pain gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Walsh is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Pain tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Pain throwing strikes here but Walsh is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Pain prevents Walsh from getting the reversal.

Walsh squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Pain stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Walsh.

and Pain holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Pain wants a takedown.
Walsh jumps guard but Pain stands there with Walsh around his waist. Walsh gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

A close second round but Graham Walsh will probably get the nod - 10:9.

That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Pain jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Walsh walks away with a smile on his face. Pain gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Pain shoots for a double leg takedown but Walsh sprawls well. He's pushed Pain's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Pain closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pain lands in his opponent's guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
