Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gy Demel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teppo Tallaaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gy Demel has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gy Demel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Teppo Tallaaja!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tallaaja doesn't manage to clinch there - Demel circles away.

Demel wants to control the position but Tallaaja says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tallaaja lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Tallaaja working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Demel will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Demel has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Tallaaja's face.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gy Demel will probably get the nod.

Demel seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Tallaaja has hold of Demel's hands but Demel slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

and Demel counters with a three punch combo that has Tallaaja backing up. Tallaaja nods at Demel to acknowledge the strikes.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
