Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, l l!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Jerabek!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jerabek shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as l sprawls well. l wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jerabek gets slowly back to his feet.

l is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jerabek's half guard.
l could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
l scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
l missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Jerabek looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
l lands strikes from half guard.
l missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Jerabek has hold of l's hands but l slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
l seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
l working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jerabek tries to roll over but l keeps him under control.
Jerabek is trying to stand back up but l is controlling him
l throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jerabek makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jerabek.

Jerabek working for a triangle but l defends it easily.
l working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
l throws a strike but Jerabek rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
l is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jerabek is controlling him.
l is breathing heavily.
Jerabek postures up in l's guard and throws a big left but l blocks it.
Jerabek in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Jerabek trying to control but l is working from the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Jerabek scores with a leg kick.

so l counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jerabek has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but l can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells l's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Jerabek is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Jerabek is trying to control the action in half guard but l is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
l wants to get back to his feet.

l is defending against the submission attempts here by Jerabek.
Jerabek prevents l from standing back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
l pushes Jerabek off but Jerabek dives into side control.

Jerabek has worked his way into a potential kimura here. l is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Jerabek yanks on the arm and l is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Jerabek.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jason Jerabek!
