Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cameron Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mongo Mangler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cameron Reed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mongo Mangler!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mangler forces Reed back against the cage and clinches.
Reed drops down looking for an ankle pick but Mangler pulls his leg out and moves away.
Reed misses with a jab, cross combination.
Reed keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Reed doesn't manage to clinch there - Mangler circles away.
Reed fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Reed throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Mangler misses with a looping left.

Mangler clinches with his opponent.

Mangler breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Reed tries for a takedown but Mangler circles away easily

and Mangler decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Reed's guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cameron Reed. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mangler wants to control from the top but Reed keeps moving.
Reed will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Mangler wants to stand and escape but instead Reed has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Mangler had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Reed is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Mangler Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Reed's back instead.

Mangler lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Mangler.
Will Mangler go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Mangler misses with a head shot.
Reed tries to hold on but Mangler postures up.
Mangler controlling the pace for now.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mangler wants to control the pace but Reed is squirming around nicely.

It looks like Cameron Reed has been cut.
Mangler takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Oh Reed is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Reed takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Reed wants to hold on but Mangler pushes him away.
Mangler seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Reed is holding on tight.

Mangler jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Reed is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Reed and Mangler has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mangler looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Reed is avoiding damage well.
The referee asks Mangler politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Mangler prefers to stall for the moment though.
Reed is trying to control Mangler's posture but Mangler avoids it.
Reed throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Reed gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Reed moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Mangler. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Mangler tries to land a front kick but Reed steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Mangler falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Reed to counter with a crisp jab.
Reed fails with the takedown.

and Mangler counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Reed tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mangler swivels and escapes.
Cameron Reed is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Reed throws a right and a left that both miss.
Reed is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Reed shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mangler but Mangler pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Reed ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Reed shoots in but Mangler avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Mangler wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Reed uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
Mangler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reed. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mangler wants to get up but he can't break Reed's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Mangler stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reed swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mangler gets to his feet - Reed follows without any prompting.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Reed looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Reed moves away from the strike by Mangler.
Mangler swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Reed counters with a series of strikes. Mangler will be more careful next time no doubt.

Mangler moves into the clinch successfully.

Mangler gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Mangler must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Mangler wants to control from the top but Reed keeps moving.

Reed is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

It looks like Reed is going to stand back up.

Mangler closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Mangler is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mangler shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

and Mangler counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Mongo Mangler showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mangler holds on and takes a little breather.
Reed is pushing down on Mangler's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mangler is fighting to maintain full guard but Reed has managed to sneak the leg through.

Reed is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mangler defends it well.

Reed feints and as Mangler raises his hands in defense, Reed changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Mangler is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Mangler throws the left hand but Reed avoids the punch easily.

Mangler looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Reed moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Mangler looking to sit in guard and control but Reed gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Reed drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Reed jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Reed postures up in Mangler's guard and throws a big left but Mangler blocks it.
Reed trying to control the position from guard on top but Mangler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Cameron Reed has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Mongo Mangler comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Mangler winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
