Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Potato Head Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Potato Head Bob had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob lands a right hook to the body.
Bob misses the jab.
Ramos misses with a few strikes there.
Bob lands with a good body shot.
Bob misses with a looping left.
Ramos lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Bob swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ramos throws a hook to the side of Bob's head but Bob sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Bob throws out a loose jab but Ramos uses good head movement to avoid it.

Bob thows a body shot but no joy.

Bob cracks Ramos with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Bob throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ramos stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Bob takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ramos misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ramos scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Bob looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Bob is looking to take a break and control but Ramos is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ramos tries to kick Bob off but Bob keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bob won't let Ramos get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Bob takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

You get the feeling that Ramos really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Ramos really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bob. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bob can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ramos is looking to escape.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ramos can do anything to dispel that myth.

Ramos connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bob. Bob circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Ramos is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Bob gets his way!

Bob is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Ramos knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Ramos for a finish.
