Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Leroy Roseberry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenny Yoho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Leroy Roseberry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenny Yoho!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Kenichi Hosakawa and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roseberry closes the distance and clinches up with Yoho, looking for a takedown. Roseberry pushes Yoho against the cage but Yoho circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Roseberry tries for a takedown but Yoho sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Roseberry wants to stand but Yoho is controlling his posture from full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Roseberry thows a big elbow that misses.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Yoho will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Yoho counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Yoho drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Roseberry dives on top into guard.

Roseberry throws a strike but Yoho rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Yoho is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

A close round but Kenny Yoho will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Roseberry with a lazy takedown attempt

and Yoho decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Roseberry's guard.

Roseberry scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Yoho lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Roseberry circles away quickly and effectively.

Yoho is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Roseberry's half guard.
Roseberry throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Yoho is looking to stall here but Roseberry recovers full guard.

Roseberry has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Yoho must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Roseberry is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Yoho wants to control from the top but Roseberry keeps moving.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Yoho is looking for a triangle but Roseberry pushes his legs off easily.
Yoho is breathing heavily.

Roseberry stands up and waves to Yoho to follow him.

and Yoho counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Yoho.

Roseberry has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Yoho off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Kenny Yoho showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Yoho is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Roseberry's half guard.
Yoho is trying to control. Roseberry wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Yoho drops back, looking for a kneebar! Roseberry looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Roseberry looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Roseberry!
Roseberry connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Yoho some visible discomfort.
Kenny Yoho has got the better of the ground game so far.

Yoho fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Kenny Yoho comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Yoho winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
