Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Donatello Bradman and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howards is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kyou avoids the body shot from Howards.
Howards has Kyou up against the cage in a clinch.
Howards looking to slow down the pace here.
Kyou wants to get back to striking at distance but Howards won't allow it.
Howards keeps control of Kyou as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Howards breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kyou looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Howards is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kyou thows a big elbow that misses.
Howards wants to stand up but Kyou is controlling him.
Howards wants to sweep but no luck.

Kyou trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Kyou wants to pass the guard but Howards is keeping the position.
Kyou throws and elbow that misses. Howards uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kyou's guard. Nice move by Howards!
Howards wanted to stand there but Kyou had control of the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Kyou fails with a takedown attempt.
Howards gets in close and instigates a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kyou trying to control the position but instead, Howards has worked for underhooks and has pushed Kyou into the cage.
Howards lands a body punch.
Howards breaks the clinch.
Howards lands a nice hook to Kyou's body. Kyou takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Kyou is breathing heavily.
Howards tries to close the distance and clinch but Kyou swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Howards misses with a two punch combination.
Howards moves in looking to clinch but Kyou pushes him off.
Kyou shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Howards pinned against the cage. Howards gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Howards is looking to land body kicks.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Howards has Kyou up against the cage in a clinch.
A short body shot lands from Howards as the two fighters clinch.
Kyou tries to break the clinch but Howards is controlling the position.
Kyou wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fu Kyou. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Howards is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Howards manages to break the clinch.
Kyou shoots for a double leg takedown but Howards sprawls well. He's pushed Kyou's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Howards lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A jab lands there for Howards.
Howards scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Howards is looking to clinch but Kyou is avoiding it.
Benny Howards is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kyou showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Howards.

Kyou dives in and grabs Howards's left leg, looking for a takedown. Howards pushes down on Kyou's head and hops out.
Howards scores with a three punch combo!
It looks like Fu Kyou has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A punch combination from Howards misses.
Howards connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kyou. Kyou circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Kyou is rocked!
Howards seems to be stalking Kyou here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Kyou drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
