Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Boy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boy comes to the ring accompanied by Johnny Boy - It's Johnny Boy. Patterson has chosen "I'm Too Sexy" as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Pete Patterson has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boy swings for the body but Patterson moves out of range.
Good work by Boy as he checks the leg kick.
Boy throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Patterson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Boy to score with a decent uppercut.
A slow jab from Patterson misses its intended target.
Boy is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Patterson.
Patterson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Patterson throws a right hand that Boy ducks under and follows up with a left that Boy also avoids with ease.
No joy there for Boy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Patterson throws the left hand but Boy avoids the punch easily.

Boy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Patterson's waist but Patterson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Boy off to one side.
Patterson throws a sloppy head kick and Boy moves out of range easily.
Pete Patterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Boy lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Patterson throws a looping overhand right but Boy ducks down to avoid it.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Boy seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Patterson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Patterson looks like he's trying to stand up.
Patterson wants to control but Boy is keeping busy.

Patterson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Patterson.
Patterson controls Boy momentarily but Boy frees himself.
Patterson wants to stand and escape but Boy is having none of it.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Patterson lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

and Boy counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Boy dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Patterson. That did some damage!

and Patterson counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Boy is looking to slow Patterson down with leg kicks.

Boy shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Boy was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Boy is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Patterson is surviving well by controlling Boy's body position as best he can.

Boy stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Patterson darts in trying to clinch
and Boy counters with a single leg into guard. Patterson didn't expect that.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Patterson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Boy.
Patterson throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Patterson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Boy paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Patterson moves out of range of the strikes.

Patterson lands a head kick. Boy smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Boy here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Patterson thows a body shot but no joy.
Patterson lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Patterson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Boy. That did some damage!

Patterson throws the kick towards the body but Boy avoids it.
Boy uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Patterson.
Boy looks for the body kick but Patterson saw that one coming.
Patterson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Boy.

Patterson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Boy's head.
Patterson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Boy's hands.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Patterson! Boy is out on his feet! Patterson rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Boy is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Boy is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
