Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jason Chaos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shaun Maddox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maddox is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: All I do is win. Shaun Maddox is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shaun Maddox!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chaos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Maddox changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chaos tries to avoid it but Maddox manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chaos to the ground. Chaos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Maddox will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Chaos lands a left and a right that send Maddox crashing to the mat, dazed. Chaos thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

and Maddox counters with a takedown into side control.
Maddox seems to have recovered his senses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Maddox is looking for a kimura but Chaos is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Maddox to get the leverage.

Chaos looking to hit a scissor sweep but Maddox is one step ahead there.
