PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yohihiro Mishima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Robotalker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mishima comes to the cage accompanied by Olympic Flame. Jackson Robotalker told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robotalker tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mishima paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Mishima fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Mishima misses with a takedown attempt - Robotalker sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Mishima darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Robotalker has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mishima is working away from the top position though.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Mishima shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Robotalker as he jumps to the side.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Mishima closes the distance and clinches up with Robotalker, looking for a takedown. Mishima pushes Robotalker against the cage but Robotalker circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Mishima drops back looking for a leg! Robotalker is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Robotalker manages to kick Mishima off! Mishima jumps back into Robotalker's guard.

Robotalker has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mishima can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Mishima's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Mishima bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Robotalker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mishima. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mishima, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
