Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heavy throws a right and a left that Richter avoids nicely.

Heavy tries to keep at a distance but Richter has taken the fight into the clinch.
Richter drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Richter stops a takedown attempt from Heavy.

Heavy is fighting off a takedown attempt but Richter is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Heavy to the mat. Heavy regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Richter trying to control the position from guard on top but Heavy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Richter stands and steps away. Heavy gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Richter shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Heavy sprawls well. Heavy wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Richter gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Richter. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Richter changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Heavy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Heavy is not content to let Richter control the position.

Richter decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Heavy is trying desperately to improve position.
Richter connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Richter is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Heavy can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Richter will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Richter throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Heavy because Richter loaded up on that one.

Richter is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Richter extends the arm and Heavy is forced to tap!
