The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Viana drives through and clinches with Bennett against the cage.
Bennett tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Viana is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bennett gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Bennett drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Viana gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Viana pulls Bennett into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Viana has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bennett can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Bennett gets to his feet and stands over Viana, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Viana felt that one! Bennett unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Viana from any more punishment!
