Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between George St Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joner Lagos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lagos has chosen Down with the Sickness as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

St Pierre drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Lagos not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
St Pierre pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lagos is keeping the position for now.

St Pierre postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lagos is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of St Pierre, into his guard.

George St Pierre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lagos pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Lagos misses with a jab, cross combination.
Lagos thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on St Pierre if he has to take too many more of those.

Lagos closes the distance and clinches.

Lagos's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from St Pierre.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lagos is looking to regain half guard here but St Pierre keeps moving and retains side control.

St Pierre is working to tighten is grip on Lagos's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Lagos has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but St Pierre is really squeezing tight and eventually Lagos passes out! St Pierre breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
