The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones wants to clinch up but Carwinn keeps it at a distance.
Carwinn takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Jones throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jones tries to clinch but Carwinn is having none of it.

It looks like Shane Carwinn has been cut.
Jones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jones walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Carwinn scores with a crisp jab that stopped Jones in his tracks.
Jones throws a hook but Carwinn blocks it.
Jones fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jones misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Carwinn.
John Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carwinn scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Carwinn tries to bum rush Jones with a series of wild strikes but Jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jones jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Carwinn lands a really nice looking cross but Jones seems unphased.

Carwinn lands a left and a right that send Jones crashing to the mat, dazed. Carwinn thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jones tries to clinch there but Carwinn circles away.
Jones shoots in but Carwinn avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jones is breathing heavily.
Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
Carwinn lands a nice hook to Jones's body. Jones takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Carwinn connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Jones to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Carwinn!
