Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Blanken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes into the arena with In The Morning blaring out of the sound system. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Blanken!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith lands with a kick to the temple. Blanken shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Blanken fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Smith manages to avoid it.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Smith.
A thudding body kick lands there by Smith!
Blanken takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Blanken fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Blanken looks gassed!
Blanken tries to score a power double leg takedown but Smith sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Blanken somewhat.
Smith drives through with a takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Smith gets to his feet. Blanken looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Blanken throws a head kick but Smith moves out of range.
Blanken has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Smith lands the left hand.
Blanken is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Smith stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Smith lands a high kick to the side of Blanken's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Smith dives into guard, looking to finish.
Blanken is rocked!
Smith stands and steps away. Blanken gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Smith! Blanken is out on his feet! Smith rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Blanken is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Blanken is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Smith!
