King comes to the cage accompanied by Terry Bozzio Drum Solo. Aslam King could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jun Watanabe's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aslam King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jun Watanabe!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shirou Masuda and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Watanabe paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

King has managed to clinch.

King pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

King instigates a clinch.
Watanabe can't get the takedown.

King gets control of Watanabe's arms and successfully pulls guard. King will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Watanabe stands and throws King's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Watanabe tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Watanabe has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Watanabe thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Watanabe should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Watanabe is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. King knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Watanabe wants to lay and pray for a moment but King keeps working.

Watanabe tries for a kimura but King is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Watanabe thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Watanabe looks gassed!

Watanabe is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, King has escaped the position, nice work there.
King is looking to reverse the position.

Watanabe is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but King is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
King regains half guard there - taking advantage of Watanabe's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Watanabe tries to pass the half guard into mount. King knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Watanabe is working for a submission of some sort.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
King wants to control but Watanabe is keeping busy.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

King rushes Watanabe and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Watanabe is working for takedown but King is calmly controlling the position for now.

King has hold of one of Watanabe's legs. Watanabe is fighting the takedown attempt but King gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
King working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Watanabe's head.
King loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aslam King dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Watanabe chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before King can pounce on him.

King scores a takedown into full mount!
King lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Watanabe hang on?


It looks like Jun Watanabe has been cut.
King tries to control but Watanabe wriggling away.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, King cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
King punching from mount but Watanabe doing a good job of avoiding damage.
King with shots to the head and body - Watanabe looks very uncomfortable down there.


That has opened up Jun Watanabe's cut even more.
Watanabe is breathing heavily.
Watanabe is trying to escape the mount.
King looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.


Watanabe is rocked!


The cut above Jun Watanabe's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jun Watanabe's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Aslam King!
