PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Gallagher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marko Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gallagher kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is EODM - Don't speak. Gracie has chosen Green as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie avoids the attempt from Gallagher to control.
Gracie throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Gallagher holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Gracie tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Poor strikes thrown by Gracie there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Gallagher knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground.

Gracie unloads with some shots from mount but Gallagher bucks and avoids them well.
Gallagher avoids a series of strikes thrown by Gracie.
Gracie misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie is landing with some decent strikes but Gallagher is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Gallagher is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Gracie cracks Gallagher with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

It looks like Billy Gallagher has been cut.
Gracie throws a strike there. Gallagher manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.
Gracie thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gallagher's head.

Gallagher on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Gracie is looking to pass Gallagher's guard but actually Gallagher recovers to full guard.
Gracie loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Gracie tries to free his leg and advance position but Gallagher is retaining full guard.

Gracie drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Gallagher manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gracie has Gallagher in his guard.

Gracie is looking for a triangle but Gallagher pushes his legs off easily.
Gallagher wanted to stand there but Gracie had control of the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Gallagher decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Gallagher is looking to slow Gracie down with leg kicks.
Gallagher connects with a nice looking jab.
Gracie closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gallagher circles away.
Gallagher throws a combination. Gracie tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
A lazy left from Gallagher finds it's target.
Gracie takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Gallagher scores with a one two! Gracie had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Gallagher connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Gallagher lands a really nice looking cross but Gracie seems unphased.
Gracie takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Gallagher drops Gracie with a beautiful combination! Gracie stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Gallagher is looking for the KO!

Gracie is rocked!
Gallagher cracks Gracie on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Gracie falls backwards against the cage. Gallagher follows up with more strikes that drop Gracie to his knees. Gallagher keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Gracie! This one is all over!
