The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takanori lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Matsumoto circles away quickly and effectively.
Matsumoto dodges the punch combination from Takanori.

Matsumoto has Takanori pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Matsumoto pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Takanori tumbling to the mat - Matsumoto dives into Takanori's guard.

Matsumoto drops back looking for a leg! Takanori is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Takanori manages to kick Matsumoto off! Matsumoto jumps back into Takanori's guard.

Matsumoto looks up at the clock and then as Takanori takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Matsumoto smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Matsumoto is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Takanori is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Takanori is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Matsumoto asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Matsumoto has hold of Takanori's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Takanori seems comfortable defending it but Matsumoto has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Takanori is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Takanori is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Matsumoto couldn't care less - he's delighted!
