Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wang Chi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Goku Sekimoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sekimoto is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Open Your Eyes . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wang Chi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Goku Sekimoto!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chi shoots in for a takedown but Sekimoto shows good takedown defense.
Chi throws a sloppy head kick and Sekimoto moves out of range easily.
Sekimoto is looking to land body kicks.

Sekimoto fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Chi sprawls well initially but Sekimoto persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sekimoto is taking a breather. Chi says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Chi wants to get back to his feet.
Chi is not content to let Sekimoto control the position.
Sekimoto is pressing down on Chi's thigh, looking to free his foot. Chi is holding on for now.
Sekimoto trying to control the action but Chi is working from the bottom.

Chi is trying to stand.
Sekimoto throws a strike but Chi avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Chi keeping moving, preventing Sekimoto from controlling successfully.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Sekimoto shoots in and bounces Chi off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Chi has momentary wrist control but Sekimoto slips an elbow through the middle.
Sekimoto sitting in guard, not really doing much.
I looks like Sekimoto might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Sekimoto throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Sekimoto postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Sekimoto wants to control from the top but Chi keeps moving.
Sekimoto stops Chi from standing up.
Chi is breathing heavily.

Chi wants to get back to his feet but Sekimoto passes into half guard.

Sekimoto stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Sekimoto swats away the attempt to clinch by Chi.
Sekimoto tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Sekimoto looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Sekimoto wants to lay and pray for a moment but Chi keeps working.

Sekimoto content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Sekimoto lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Sekimoto missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Sekimoto wants to control but Chi is keeping him busy.

Sekimoto is trying for a kimura here. Chi looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Sekimoto wins by kimura!
