Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cheez Itz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mahatma Gandhi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Itz comes to the cage accompanied by do you really want to hurt me. The crowd seem to be enjoying Gandhi's choice of entrance music: Hungry Like The Wolf. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gandhi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Itz misses with the combination.
Gandhi uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Itz.
Itz misses with a wild combination.
Gandhi is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Gandhi throws a body kick that misses.
Itz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gandhi manages to avoid it.

Itz closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Itz lands in his opponent's guard.
Itz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

It looks like Mahatma Gandhi has been cut.
Gandhi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Gandhi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Itz's head.
Itz is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gandhi's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gandhi's back!
Itz is trying to stick to Gandhi's back but Gandhi is turning into Itz. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Itz's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Gandhi.
Gandhi lands a couple of digs.
Itz manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gandhi manages to get himself to full guard.
Itz is looking to work some ground and pound but Gandhi has wrist control.

Gandhi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Itz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Itz won't allow Gandhi to sweep him here.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Itz postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Gandhi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Gandhi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Itz's guard.
Itz not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Itz has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Gandhi pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Itz is keeping the position for now.
Itz utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Gandhi won't allow Itz to sweep him here.

Cheez Itz has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Itz throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gandhi on the side of the head.
Itz lands a jab to Gandhi's midsection.
Gandhi takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Gandhi looks gassed!
Gandhi takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Itz drops Gandhi with a left right combo! Itz follows him down to the ground into side control.

That has opened up Mahatma Gandhi's cut even more.
Gandhi is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Itz in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

The cut above Mahatma Gandhi's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Mahatma Gandhi's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mahatma Gandhi's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
