Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pinky Promise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and boxer joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Promise closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Promise not doing much here.
Promise seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down joe for as long as he can get away with.
joe looks like he's trying to stand up.
Promise is controlling the pace.
joe tries to kick Promise off but Promise keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

joe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Promise. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Well, if Promise is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Promise trying to pass the guard but joe defending well.
Promise is looking to take a break and control but joe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

joe blocking the ground and pound attempt from Promise.
joe is in trouble now - Promise has advanced to mount!
joe wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Promise.
Promise misses with a head shot.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
joe is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Promise wants to finish this one by submission but joe is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Promise.
Promise trying to control but joe is having none of it.

Promise throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.

Promise working for a guillotine from mount but joe is in no mood to give up.
joe is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Promise throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Promise controlling the pace for now.
Promise will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Promise looking to finish joe with some ground and pound. This is bad for joe!
Promise tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
joe wants to try and get back to his feet.

Promise is going oldschool here, as he tries to force joe to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so joe shrugs it off.
Promise controlling the pace for now.
Promise thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Promise sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
joe wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Promise.

Promise is standing up, even though he is in mount.

Promise moves into the clinch successfully.

Promise manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Promise is trying to keep joe in close.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Promise is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Promise closes the distance and clinches.
Promise looking for a takedown.
Promise fails to pull the fight into his guard.
joe throws a punch but it's blocked by Promise.
joe is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Promise is keeping busy.
Promise is trying to break free.
joe has a couple of punches blocked by Promise.
joe misses with a short punch on the inside.
Promise tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Promise manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Promise has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
joe wants to stand but Promise is controlling his posture from full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
joe would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

joe wants to get up but he can't break Promise's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Promise is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
joe stuffs the takedown attempt from Promise. Promise gets slowly back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
joe looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
joe uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Promise.
joe misses with a body shot.
boxer joe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

joe lands an overhand right.
Promise tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and joe is able to avoid easily.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Promise.
joe is pushing Promise's head away, looking to escape. Promise manages to hold on to the position though.
Pinky Promise is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
joe is not content to let Promise control the position.

Promise stands up and beckons joe to his feet.

joe fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A jab from joe finds it's way through Promise's defenses.

Pinky Promise is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

joe will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Promise, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
