Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andrei Chikatilo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Tate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chikatilo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Love?. Tate comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Diamonds Aren't Forever kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chikatilo waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Tate.
Tate fails in his attempt to clinch.
Tate throws a shot from downtown. Chikatilo moves away and avoids it.
Tate lands with a good body shot.
Chikatilo takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Tate walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Chikatilo checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Chikatilo shoots in but no luck this time.

Tate tries to escape but Chikatilo is in control.
Chikatilo is looking to take a break and control but Tate is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Tate wants to get back to his feet but Chikatilo drags him back down.

Tate tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Chikatilo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Chikatilo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tate is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Chikatilo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
You can see the frustration on Tate's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Chikatilo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Tate is controlling Chikatilo's posture.
Tate is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Chikatilo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tate swivels though and keeps the full guard.

and Chikatilo counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Tate lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Tate throws out a loose jab but Chikatilo uses good head movement to avoid it.
