Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Filipino Saint!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, David Vo!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Franklyn Lucas and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saint displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Vo.
Vo fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Vo!
Vo shoots in but Saint avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Filipino Saint has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Vo.
Vo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Saint's waist but Saint gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vo off to one side.
Saint throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Vo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Saint throws a body punch but Vo moves out of range.
Vo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Saint swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Vo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Saint looks to land a left hand but Vo moved out of range nicely.
Vo gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Saint.
Vo on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Vo shoots for a takedown but Saint saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Vo has a takedown stuffed.
Vo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Vo fails with the takedown.
Vo looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Saint misses with a double jab.
Vo lands a nice shot that snaps Saint's head back.
Vo shoots in for a double leg but Saint sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Vo shoots in for a takedown but Saint shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Saint stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Saint wants it to stay on the feet.
Vo takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Vo takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Saint with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Decent striking displayed by Saint there.
Saint lands a nice hook to Vo's body. Vo takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Saint dips to his left and cracks Vo with an uppercut!
Saint drops Vo with a beautiful combination! Vo stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Saint is looking for the KO!
Vo is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Saint punishes Vo's body with a nice straight punch.
Vo is still on wobbly legs! Can Saint finish him?
Saint throws an uppercut from hell that sends Vo clean off his feet! He's out cold! Saint stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
