PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Snake Bite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gastao Gaspar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Snake Bite had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 147.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Gastao Gaspar will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Snake Bite!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gastao Gaspar!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaspar misses with a few strikes there.
Gaspar fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bite manages to avoid it.
Gaspar misses with a straight right.
Gaspar swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Gaspar bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bite's head.
Gaspar cracks Bite with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Bite tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Gaspar pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Bite is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gastao Gaspar!
