Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Doug Wallaby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jurek Gazownik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wallaby's entrance music is Europe - The Final Countdown. A fine choice. Gazownik has chosen Spoon - Got Nuffin' as his entrance music. Doug Wallaby had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Doug Wallaby!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jurek Gazownik!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Taro Takaoka and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallaby lands a glancing blow to the side of Gazownik's head.
Gazownik is trying hard to land a takedown here. Wallaby sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Wallaby scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Gazownik tries for a takedown but Wallaby sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Wallaby tries to close the distance and clinch but Gazownik swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Wallaby connects with a body shot.
No joy there for Wallaby, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wallaby's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Wallaby duly obliges.
Wallaby is looking to clinch but Gazownik is avoiding it.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wallaby connects with a body shot.

Gazownik moves forwards but Wallaby connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Wallaby lands with a hook. Gazownik tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Wallaby lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Gazownik throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wallaby's waist but Wallaby gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gazownik off to one side.
Doug Wallaby has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jurek Gazownik.
Gazownik takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Wallaby stalks Gazownik and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Gazownik's face. Gazownik staggers backwards, shaken.
A right-left combo lands from Wallaby.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Wallaby looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Wallaby has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Wallaby gets through Gazownik's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Gazownik jumps guard but Wallaby stands there with Gazownik around his waist. Gazownik gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Gazownik is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Gazownik is trying desperately to land a takedown but Wallaby is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Gazownik.

Wallaby breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wallaby bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Wallaby looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Wallaby cracks Gazownik with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Gazownik is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Wallaby fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wallaby is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Wallaby throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Gazownik looks to clinch
and Gazownik takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Gazownik swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Gazownik shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Gazownik was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Wallaby is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Gazownik tries to control but Wallaby wriggling away.
Wallaby really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Gazownik throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Gazownik trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Wallaby on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wallaby tries to get out of the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gazownik closes the distance and clinches up with Wallaby, looking for a takedown. Gazownik pushes Wallaby against the cage but Wallaby circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Doug Wallaby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gazownik has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Wallaby is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Gazownik using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Wallaby has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Gazownik drops down looking for an ankle pick but Wallaby pulls his leg out and moves away.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Wallaby wants to get back to his feet but Gazownik is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Wallaby stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wallaby wants it to stay on the feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wallaby, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
